Starting GT.M requires making the GTMSECSHR and generally GTMSHR, which constitute the run-time library, known to VMS with the INSTALL utility. In addition, GT.M users must have access to a definition of the MUMPS command and to logical names identifying run-time components. The installation dialogue results in the creation of customized procedures for performing these tasks. These procedures are GTMSTART.COM, GTMLOGICALS.COM and GTMLOGIN.COM. GT.M has no symbiont or daemon processes.
